The origins of the present company date back to 1987 when Rodcol was formed, originally focussing on Refractory applications and later diversifying into Construction and Civils. Since its inception, Rodcol has provided services to all major industries in the Zululand area, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Swaziland, Eastern Cape and Mozambique. Since 2006, the Management of Rodcol has strategically transformed it’s shareholding to its present milestone of achieving 75% Black Ownership.
Rodcol’s collective view is to ensure that the company is sustainable and always able to provide the best level of expertise to its clients, whilst simultaneously operating in line with the country’s transformation goals.
Rodcol Contracts is certified as a BBBEE Level 1 company with a CIDB 7CE Rating. The Company also has a 5 Star Health and Safety Grading certified by The Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal. The Federal Employers Mutual Assurance Company (FEMA) has regularly awarded Rodcol Contracts a special Merit Rebate to recognize the company’s commitment to safety and not having to lodge any workplace injury claims.
